22nd June 2016Barhale are delighted to announce that the latest local charity receiving our support will be St Gemma’s Hospice.
St. Gemma’s Hospice is based in Moortown, Leeds and they care for adults living with all incurable illnesses via an In-Patient Unit, Day Hospice, Community Nurse Specialists and a Social Work and Bereavement Team, which includes a specialist Children’s Bereavement Team. St. Gemma’s Hospice recognise each person’s need for respect, dignity and independence as they care for patients from all backgrounds and provide continuing support for their families and carers. The vision of the Hospice is to promote life and enhance its quality within a welcoming, caring and safe environment.
This year, it will cost over £9.7 million to fund all of the care and services that St. Gemma’s provide and so support from the local community is absolutely vital in allowing them to continue to care for patients.
