Senior Estimator
We currently have a requirement for a Senior Estimator within the Walsall office to lead estimates for civil engineering works in accordance with Company estimating systems and procedures. You will work with other members of the tender teams to develop customer solutions and secure sufficient work in terms of value and type in order to meet Company objectives. The successful candidate will be required to identify opportunity and risk during the tendering process, agree methodology and principles, present estimates at adjudication and maintain knowledge of site processes and costs. You will require experience in civils, water, waste, rail or tunnelling disciplines, an understanding of construction techniques and be familiar with tender build-ups, as well as having good time management and prioritisation skills.
Commercial Manager
The Commercial Manager is required in the Northern region to ensure that all commercial aspects of the projects under their remit are properly managed and controlled, and that commercial strategy is developed and delivered in accordance with the requirements of the business. This involves managing the Commercial Team, reviewing forecasts, ensuring reports are completed accurately and carrying out audits. The ideal candidate will have experience of frameworks and external one off contracts, and of managing a team of quantity surveyors, costing staff and project planners. They will hold strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to solve problems efficiently and prioritise a busy workload to meet project deadlines.
Planner
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to assist with the planning of live projects within the Northern region. You will work with the other members of the project teams to develop, monitor and maintain contracts and as built programmes. This involves helping to ensure both the operational and commercial members of the team are fully appraised to the critical activities and risks of the respective projects at all times, and you will be required to work closely with the commercial department for cost loading of programmes. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with experience working in civils, waste or water sectors and excellent planning software (P6) skills.
Project Engineer
We currently have a vacancy for a talented Project Engineer who will work as part of the Delivery Team in the Anglian Water Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) partnership. This role involves enabling projects to be delivered with respect to technical specifications, client needs and the needs and regulations of other stakeholders. The role includes receipt of needs from Anglian Water (primarily planned), development of least Whole Life Cost (WLC) solutions and ensuring solutions are up to all required standards and regulations. We require someone with operational water experience and knowledge and experience of customer and external stakeholder management, planning and resource scheduling, along with contract management and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work to tight deadlines.
Quantity Surveyors
We are seeking enthusiastic Quantity Surveyors within the Walsall office to provide commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The successful applicant will hold excellent interpersonal and communication skills as they will liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual who has previous experience in the industry, familiar with ICE/NEC contracts and keen to deliver accurate reports and ensure adherence to commercial processes.
Site Agents
We currently have an opportunity for talented, experienced Site Agents to be responsible for the management of an exciting project within our Southern Region. You will achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. The successful candidate will need to possess significant civil engineering experience and will require enthusiasm along with excellent communication, safety and management skills in order to work closely with site teams and support departments to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
