Axminster Station Redoubling Scheme

Barhale were awarded this design and construct contract by Network
Rail to undertake a scheme to construct a new steel footbridge and
platform to replace the existing disused platform at Axminster Station.
This project was part of a larger £12m package by Network Rail, which
involved the reinstatement of a second line, which the new platform
would service.
Barhale liaised directly with Network Rail and three other contractors
working on other elements of the package. Through the efficient and
collaborative scheduling of the works there was minimal disruption to
the local community and travelling public.
