A warm welcome to Sean McCormick
13th December 2024We are thrilled to welcome Sean McCormick, contracts manager for the northern region to the Barhale family. He joins us with over 14 years’ experience in civil engineering and project management. He brings both technical expertise and a hands-on approach that aligns perfectly with our company’s mission. Coming from a project manager role in another civil engineering firm, Sean was attracted to Barhale through previous knowledge as a leading company within the industry but also through a previous colleague’s recommendation.
With a track record of successfully managing projects and known for his ability to build strong teams, anticipate challenges and prioritise safety, Sean brings the kind of leadership that keeps projects on track and within budget, without compromising quality or innovation.
Throughout his career, Sean has earned a reputation for having a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to fostering collaborative working environments. He is particularly passionate about integrating sustainable practices and the latest technologies in engineering, ensuring our projects not only meet today’s demands but also contribute positively to future generations.
When discussing how his onboarding experience has gone and what he would like to achieve in his role, Sean said: “I am eager to get involved in Barhale’s journey. I have strong aspirations and want to be influential in making Barhale successful. I really want to develop the role. In terms of my onboarding experience, I was really impressed. It was really good. I felt welcomed and people here are great. I got a very warm welcome and it was really easy to slot into my role.”
James Ingamells, Regional Director (Northern Region) is looking forward to the impact Sean will make on a rapidly growing region:
“We are delighted to have Sean on board. He joins at a point in time where the region is securing new contract awards and is growing. His role will be pivotal in ensuring our delivery on site remains safe and efficient, whilst playing a key role in growing the size and capability of our delivery team. We have already benefited from his enthusiasm, knowledge and experience and long may that continue. I look forward to seeing Sean further develop himself and those around him, as he embarks on what I hope will be a lengthy career with Barhale.”
Sean has already made a positive impact on the team by introducing a check sheet for general foremen to enhance our already robust health and safety program. In Sean’s role, which comprises overseeing live projects, a go to person for escalation on site and liaising with quantity surveyors and checking quotations, his role at Barhale as a contracts manager will be to lead several of our upcoming projects. He will work closely with our northern team to support Barhale’s vision of engineering for generations.
Please join us in welcoming Sean to our Barhale team! We look forward to the innovation, dedication, and leadership he will bring to Barhale as we continue building a better future.
