Acorns Children’s Hospice Bubble Rush 5k Sponsorship

18th July 2024

We are proud to sponsor the Acorns Children’s Hospice Bubble Rush 5k for 2024!

This Sunday 21st July, Walsall’s Arboretum will be transformed into a sea of bubbly colour with hundreds of people joining together to raise vital funds for the lifeline care of local children and families.

Luana Bills, Social Impact & Sustainability Lead for Barhale, said:

“As a responsible business with head office operations located close to the Walsall based hospice we are delighted to be sponsoring bubble and water stations at the event on Sunday. This is a great opportunity for our employees and their families to volunteer and also participate in the fun run, myself included!

I have been fortunate to meet with several members of the Acorns team and to see the facilities that Acorns provide to children and their families. I am extremely grateful and proud that Barhale have committed to supporting such a fantastic cause.”

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for babies, children and young people with life limiting and life-threatening conditions, and support for their families.

In the past year, the charity has cared for more than 750 children across the West Midlands, and supported almost 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved.

This care and support is provided across 3 hospices, based in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester, and within the community.

Acorns needs around £30,000 each day to provide its children’s hospice care, with two thirds of that amount coming from generous donations and fundraising by the local community.
