BNM Alliance Winner of Prestigious New Civil Engineer Tunnelling Award
13th December 2017BNM Alliance (a partnership between Barhale and North Midland Construction) has won the New Civil Engineer 2017 ‘Specialist Tunnelling Project of the Year’ for the Elan Valley Aqueduct (EVA) Rehabilitation Project, a scheme currently being delivered for Severn Trent.
The inspirational winners of the 2017 New Civil Engineer Tunnelling Awards were announced on 7th December at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The New Civil Engineer Tunnelling Awards brought together over 400 industry leaders from across the Tunnelling community for an afternoon of celebration and unrivalled networking.
Judges comments: After careful review by our panel of expert judges from major clients, contractors and consultants, the Elan Valley Aqueduct Rehabilitation Project was awarded ‘Specialist Project of the Year’. This project involved the construction of three tunnels to replace a strategically important water supply aqueduct system. A sustainable solution, attention to the needs of the local community and attention to construction logistics by the Alliance JV resulted in a project that delivered benefits for client, local community and consumers alike.
