Barhale are winners of the Bronze Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Award
2nd May 2018We are delighted to announce that Barhale’s Southern Region have been awarded a Bronze Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Award for their work at Didcot Foul Water Sewer project.
The project involved the design and build of a new foul sewer to serve the Great Western Park (GWP) development and other future catchment growth in Didcot. The sewer connects a newly developed area to the existing sewage treatment works in Didcot.
From the outset there were a multitude of access, environmental and technical challenges identified, these included having to tunnel under the Network Rail high speed line which connects London to Cardiff. The project was delivered on time, to budget, with an impeccable safety record of no lost-time incidents over the 70,000 man-hours and with an excellent interaction with the community and stakeholders.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) encourages best practice above and beyond statutory requirements and only the very best performing sites are recognised at the award ceremonies.
CONGRATULATIONS to the whole team! Well done!
