Congratulations to the BarhaleEnpure JV Dewsbury WWTW Upgrade Project team, working for Yorkshire Water, who were awarded the Certificate of Commendation in the Centenary Award (projects £5m and over) category at last night’s ICE Yorkshire and Humber Awards.

The project involved a major upgrade to overhaul primary treatment at the waste water treatment works, improving performance, reliability, creating habitats and ensuring better water quality in the River Calder for future generations.

The awards recognise exceptional projects, teamwork and individual excellence and we’re delighted to receive the certificate for the project. Factors taken into account by the judges included value and impact on society, sustainability, net zero carbon, health, safety and welfare, quality of design, innovation and best practice, difficulty and response, diversity and inclusion, collaboration and excellence in delivery.
