We are thrilled to announce that Barhale was named Tunnelling Contractor of the Year and Barhale in collaboration with Thames Water won the Innovation in Tunnel Fit-Out, Maintenance & Refurbishment award at last night’s ceremony.

On the Tunnelling Contractor of the Year win, the judges said, “Barhale has concentrated on excellence in its particular market. It has a record of continuously improving client satisfaction and being a long term supporter of accredited skills training. Their commitment to client centric approach, innovation and collaborative working is delivering improved turnover and profitability.”

The Mid Level 2 (ML2) Sewer project won in the Innovation in Tunnel Fit-Out, Maintenance & Refurbishment category. On this, the judges highlighted: “A great challenge to the conventional BaU re-lining option with significant health and safety benefits. The entry evidenced great collaboration and the project delivered good cost and time benefits and outstanding client satisfaction.”
