Driving Safety Through the ‘Get a Grip’ Campaign

11th April 2025

As we stand at the forefront of innovation, sustainability and resilience, our positive interventions aim to meet ranging technologies and sustainable construction practices within an inclusive workforce. These interventions not only improve the safety and quality of our communities but also contribute to delivering excellence to our clients.

In an effort to make our sites as safe as possible, we recognise slips, trips and falls are some of the most common causes of injury on our construction sites. Despite the increasing focus on health and safety, these incidents continue to pose a significant risk to workers. The high-risk environment of our sites often navigating uneven terrain, debris and a variety of obstacles, demands a proactive approach to prevent accidents occurring.

Our ‘Get a Grip’ campaign aims to raise awareness around accidents in the workplace. The main objective is to improve site tidiness and to raise awareness around slips, trips and falls. It comprises front-line delivery teams undertaking hazard spotting exercises.

A step change in the number of near misses and/or incidents involving slips, trips and falls will contribute to our measure of success. This will be coupled with us closely montoring and proactively driving an increase in related positive interventions, which will demonstrate that the front-line delivery teams have this at the forefront of their minds.

‘Get a Grip’ is more than just a campaign—it’s a step toward lasting change. By keeping safety front of mind and taking proactive action on-site, we’re creating safer environments for everyone, every day.
