​​Barhale aims to celebrate the role of women in engineering, by highlighting some of our positive role models, inspiring future and current generations to achieve their potential.

INWED18 takes place on Saturday 23rd June 2018 and is an international awareness day to support, inspire, celebrate and raise the profile of women in engineering. It is an opportunity to draw attention to the careers in engineering for ladies and young people and to celebrate the achievements of women engineers.

The theme for INWED18 is “Raising the Bar” this chimes really well with the Women’s Engineering Society’s (WES) vision and aims, as well as pointing the way through 2018 (The Year of Engineering) to the WES Centenary in 2019, where the theme for INWED19 will be “Engineering Futures”.
