Lead Environmental Advisor

We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to be the lead environmental specialist for Barhale. In the role you will support the Head of HSEQ to set policy and standards as well as undertaking site visits and delivering support to site teams, assisting them to recognise hazards, minimise risk and improving the environmental standards in the workplace. The role also includes acting as the Company champion and role model for all environmental issues within Barhale, making sure that relevant legislation is adhered to, in addition to assisting in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the HSE strategies of Barhale and its clients. This role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, or looking to make their next move to this level in their career. You should be an excellent team player with the capability to communicate effectively with both all levels of staff along with holding excellent presentation and report writing skills.

Yard Team Leader

We currently have a role with various duties including shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.  Receiving incoming material/equipment and routing to appropriate area or team.  Painting, Cleaning, and washing down equipment and servicing items ready for hire.  Yard presentation up keep, loading/unloading vehicles equipment, weekly checks. You will need to have a good knowledge of Yard activities and equipment, Driving licence and FLT Licence, Crawler crane licence, Maintenance experience, able to work in all weathers and have a good level of fitness. A strong work ethics.  Approachable.  Always have the company interest at heart, Flexible and willing to learn and develop.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join our Walsall-based Procurement Team as a Trainee Buyer.  This is an excellent opportunity to grow and development within the procurement discipline, guided by a friendly and inclusive team. The role would ideally suit a recent graduate, looking for their first procurement role, who is keen and demonstrates the right qualities in order to succeed in a career within this field.

You will be responsible for some materials procurement, and providing reliable and good quality support to the rest of the team. You will need to be a confident communicator who is happy to liaise with all stakeholders, including site teams and suppliers, and you will be able to demonstrate excellent written communication and IT skills.

Internal Sales Executive

We currently have a vacancy for a Driven Internal Sales Executive, responsibilities will include maintaining and developing your own customer portfolio, with a keen focus on account management in order to capitalise on customer relationships, follow up leads and maximise the potential growth of the BCS business. Customer Service is of paramount importance and must adhere to the highest of standards. Develop a key account management concept for relevant customers and ensure that they contacted on a regular basis. Provide advice and guidance to customers in the correct selection of products or services for their particular project.

Oversee the day to day running of external orders and enquiries received, including logging enquiries, updating, and amending, managing entries to reflect current status together with managing the customer relationship management system (CRM). You need to have experience of working in a busy sales/team environment.  Ability to juggle a number of projects at any one time also prioritising  where necessary to deliver results, use to working to targets and deadlines, excellent communication skills both verbal and in written form, finally you will need to be commercially aware.

Marketing Assistant

We are currently looking for an exceptional Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager with the day to day marketing activities of our business and long term strategic goals. Also work closely with our Internal and External Sales Team assisting with marketing tasks and objectives that enable us to win work and take market share. Assist in the production of all marketing for our company ensuring that each division of BCS receives an equal split of marketing on our website, social media platforms, email campaigns, advertising, exhibitions, events, supply partner websites, cascades, and news with guidance from our Marketing Manager.

Assist in the promotion of the BCS brand on a daily/weekly basis on all social media, BCS website, Barhale website, and supply partner websites. Design bespoke literature promote events etc. Ensure that brand management and corporate identity guidelines are implemented and adhered to on all marketing material. Report back to our Marketing Manager anything that doesn’t comply.

Assistant in the completion of customer satisfaction reviews on a 6 monthly basis, work closely with the Marketing Manager on all other marketing requests from a design and delivery perspective and ensure the highest quality output is achieved. You will need a strong knowledge of Marketing have a solid design and creative skill set, ability to build relationships will all major stakeholders. Good time management and planning skills, excellent verbal and written skills as a good communicator is essential to this role, ability to prioritise workloads, knowledge of design using various packages to include; InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Lead Programme Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Programme Manager to join our IOS (Integrated Operational Solutions) area within the Eastern Region. Ensuring good programme management and enabling, by keeping all programmes within governance. Ensure excellent quality progress updates are obtained during delivery. As part of the role you will manage the Programme Managers and support them to constantly monitor the works to make sure that design output is aligned with construction activity, and delivered on time.

You will be accountable for the expenditure, efficiency challenge and overall out turn costs of the programme including authorisation as per Governance. In this role you will comply with all operational Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices are followed. You will contribute to continuous improvement and will utilise the skills and knowledge of the team member, providing support through focus and energy. The successful candidate will be motivated to drive efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement. You will also be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering, scientific or financial discipline.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will provide and report on and control all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts. The role includes offering support to allow projects to be safely delivered on time, to budget and to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will also assist the Quantity Surveyor in providing commercial expertise for projects to maximise returns by working within robust procedures to support commercial and operational personnel. This role would suit someone keen to maintain commercial awareness, with an ability to build exceptional relationships, and prioritise and use organisational skills to meet required deadlines.

Site Manager

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join the team in Currie. Reporting to the Project Manager, the candidate will set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of Health and Safety procedures and best practice alongside complying with company procedures and legal obligations. Your role will be to promote the Barhale Cardinal rules and establish safe working cultures and practices. Ensuring that works are managed in compliance with company procedures and legal obligations, and monitoring and controlling financial aspects of contracts and to deliver project profit in line with business requirements.

Sales Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Sales Coordinator within BCS. We are looking for a candidate who will process hire and sale orders from internal and external customers alongside maximising all opportunities to assist in the growth of all aspects of BCS. The successful candidate will have the ability to process a high number of enquiries, calls and orders, have excellent communication skills, alongside recent exposure within a sales team. Product knowledge or previous experience within construction or traffic management is highly desirable.

Site Manager

Barhale are recruiting for a Site Manager to work across the Anglian Water Region. The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme. We will design and build around 800 schemes worth approximately £1.2billion between April 2015 and March 2020, known as AMP6, the current five year investment period, working closely with Anglian Water operations teams and other key stakeholders. We are looking for an experienced Site Manager who will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction activities in line with the client’s Capital Delivery Index (CDI) and by outperforming the affordability challenge. It is important you will be a champion of safety and wellbeing and ensure project delivery, without detriment to anyone’s health and wellbeing- Using techniques to minimise the effect on our environment. We are looking for a candidate that has relevant key skills and extensive experience.
