Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements within the Yorkshire region. The successful applicant will hold excellent interpersonal and communication skills as they will liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual who has previous experience in the industry, familiar with ICE/NEC contracts and keen to deliver accurate reports and ensure adherence to commercial processes.
Credit Controller
We are recruiting for a Credit Controller in the BCS department based in our Walsall office. The role will mainly involve carrying out general sales ledger and credit control duties, in line with the agreed monthly programme. Other core duties include liaising effectively with suppliers and building relationships in order to maintain effective credit control. Key responsibilities include cash collection, credit control, account duties and customer service. The ideal applicant will have previous relevant experience and will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as being able to work under pressure, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Credit control experience is highly desirable.
Plant Fitter
We are currently recruiting a Plant Fitter who will work in our BCS Division based in Walsall. The main purpose of the role is to service, repair and maintain equipment. This will include carrying out designated tasks as required, resolving customer complaints and working efficiently to decrease completion times. You will maintain excellent levels of quality control and housekeeping. The successful candidate will have previous experience of electrical fault finding, hydraulics, maintenance and general repair. You will have knowledge of a wide variety of power tools and experience of petrol and diesel engines. You will be a key team-player with high attention to detail.
Electrician (IOS)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician, who will be responsible for building up a dedicated electrical site team for our Anglian Water IOS alliance works. This will involve installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems and equipment. Communication skills will be key in this role, as it will require working closely both with the site team and the Electrical Site Supervisor to report issues daily. This role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role and site/electrical qualifications, who is safety-focused and able to ensure all rules are followed to maintain a safe system of work.

Civil Engineers
We are currently seeking Civil Discipline Engineers to be based in our client’s co-located office in Peterborough, as part of the Anglian Water @one Alliance. The purpose of this role includes carrying out optioneering and detailed design for infrastructure projects. Projects will be mainly wastewater related and you will ensure that the solutions developed give the best whole life value to the client. The role will include providing technical support during the construction phase and project close out. You will also plan enabling activities to ensure timely work packages for the construction teams, which are safe to construct using off site and modular building techniques. You will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience in water infrastructure and knowledge of construction processes and technical design, and be a good team worker with the ability to work independently and make your own decisions also.
Project Engineer
We currently have a vacancy for a talented Project Engineer who will work as part of the Delivery Team in the Anglian Water Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) partnership. This role involves enabling projects to be delivered with respect to technical specifications, client needs and the needs and regulations of other stakeholders. The role includes receipt of needs from Anglian Water (primarily planned), development of least Whole Life Cost (WLC) solutions and ensuring solutions are up to all required standards and regulations. We require someone with operational water experience and knowledge and experience of customer and external stakeholder management, planning and resource scheduling, along with contract management and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work to tight deadlines.
Cost Clerk
We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic Cost Clerk to be based in Walsall, working for the Northern region, to process purchase ledger invoices and undertake general accounting administration. This involves clearing purchase ledger invoices and resolving any queries, chasing credit notes, producing cost reports and carrying out timesheet input. If you have purchase ledger knowledge, are proficient in using Microsoft Office, have excellent administrative and organisational skills, and are able to work both individually or as part of a team please apply.
Bid Manager
We are looking for a talented and experienced Bid Manager to identify business opportunities that align with the Barhale Business Strategy. This will involve being responsible for developing appropriate relationships with external parties to help develop opportunities and winning submissions, securing work by value and type to meet company objectives and working to develop customer solutions and prepare responses. The role will also include overseeing all quality, technical and commercial aspects in accordance with company procedures, developing “best practice” systems and processes and implementing them across the other regions, whilst maintaining and building relations with them. For this role we require someone with an engineering or commercial background with Experience of managing teams and understanding client business strategy, marketing and bidding. It would suit someone with an understanding of commercial aspects of bidding, confident in dealing with internal and external customers at all levels.
Valve Technician
We are currently recruiting for a Valve Technician who will be responsible for operating sluice valves on Severn Trent’s clean water system. The main purpose of the role is to ensure properties are notified correctly; flushing mains, and taking water samples. The role also involves checking that valves are operational and ensuring all operations are carried out under an in date R & C document. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and knowledge in operating clean water systems and understanding of R & C documents. You will be able to display excellent customer service, time management and organization skills to complement your experience. Tunnelling Agent
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Site Agent to work on our EVA project and be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. The successful candidate will require enthusiasm along with excellent communication, safety and management skills in order to work closely with site teams and support departments to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
