Learning and Development Manager
Following a period of growth Barhale is now looking to expand its Learning and Development provision. We are keen to find a passionate individual to head up the L&D function, working in partnership with the business to ensure the we deliver our people focus in line with our Source | Train | Retain philosophy. You will provide a comprehensive development and training service to the business and contribute to the overall provision of development and training solutions, so you’ll need to be an experienced L&D professional, organised and with sound practical knowledge of how to move the function forward within business. An excellent communicator, you will be able to liaise confidently with all levels of personnel in order to promote the importance of effective L&D for our people. In addition, you should have experience of dealing with external training providers and be happy with the collation and presentation of statistics at a high level.
Resourcing Advisor
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter to join our HR team, based in Walsall, to provide an efficient, accurate and streamlined service to the business with regard to all recruitment and resourcing-related matters.
This role has a wide remit and the top of the agenda is finding great candidates whose attitude and experience matches Barhale’s culture. Duties will include proactive sourcing, agreeing job advertising methods, liaison with recruitment agencies, hiring managers and other HR colleagues to ensure that the process from initial request to successful candidate is smooth. You’ll need to be passionate and creative when it comes to sourcing great people (active and passive candidates), have the ability to communicate effectively with managers regarding their recruitment needs and establishing the nuances in an individual vacancy to ensure that the right candidate is sourced quickly. You must also have excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all relevant paperwork is in place and that headcount is constantly monitored.
Civil Discipline Engineer
We are currently seeking a Civil Discipline Engineer to be based in our client’s co-located office in Peterborough, as part of the Anglian Water @one Alliance. The purpose of this role includes carrying out optioneering and detailed design for infrastructure projects. Projects will be mainly wastewater related and you will ensure that the solutions developed give the best whole life value to the client. The role will include providing technical support during the construction phase and project close out. You will also plan enabling activities to ensure timely work packages for the construction teams, which are safe to construct using off site and modular building techniques. You will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience in water infrastructure and knowledge of construction processes and technical design, and be a good team worker with the ability to work independently and make your own decisions also.
Cost Manager (QS)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager (Quantity Surveyor) to join our team at the Anglian Water @one Alliance partnership based at our client’s co-located offices in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to close out. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximise value, minimise future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety. This is all to be carried out through working as part of an integrated delivery team so if you have previous experience of the construction industry, have knowledge of estimation and cost analysis, have good interpersonal skills and are capable of integrating into a collaborative team then please apply.
Senior Estimator
We currently have a requirement for a Senior Estimator to lead estimates for civil engineering works in accordance with Company estimating systems and procedures. You will work with other members of tender teams to develop customer solutions and secure sufficient work in terms of value and type in order to meet Company objectives. The successful candidate will be required to identify opportunity and risk during the tendering process, agree methodology and principles, present estimates at adjudication and maintain knowledge of site processes and costs. You will require experience in civils, water, waste, rail or tunnelling areas, an understanding of construction techniques and to be familiar with tender build-ups, as well as having good time management and prioritisation skills.
