Successful completion for the team at Calvert
19th December 2024We are looking back at our project for EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall) managing four critical infrastructure tasks across multiple sectors. As part of the works, the team carried out a gas diversion for SGN (Scotland Gas Networks), installing 1,100m 180mm pipe, performed pressure tests and completed CAD red-line drawings for accurate as-built documents. As part of the scope, three trial holes on an intermediate pressure main to assess pipe integrity, location and ground conditions were undertaken. Additionally, to meet SGN standards, Q10 and P11 inspections, including x-ray scans of exposed steel joints were undertaken.
The team undertook a telecoms diversion for Openreach, which involved installing 700m of 90mm PVC duct along the route on Addison Road, Steeple Claydon, Buckingham.
For Anglian Water, we carried out a water diversion where we replaced an 8” water main with a 225mm PE pipe, twinned and sleeved over a new bridge constructed on Addison Road. Following, the team then conducted rigorous pressure and disinfection testing to maintain water quality.
All quality handovers were successfully completed for each project component and we are proud to have received positive feedback from our client and asset owner for these works. In collaboration with key asset owners – SGN, Anglian Water and Openreach, our team ensured seamless delivery across sectors. The project success reflects our commitment to excellence across utilities and infrastructure where we continue to build stronger connections and a sustainable future.
