The BNM Alliance successfully launched the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) last week at Nantmel. The day was shared with over 60 guests including residents, school children and councillors. Following a competition with the local primary school, the TBM was named ‘Supermole’.

The TBM was lowered into the launch pit ready to commence tunnelling in June. The project is part of the overall Elan Valley Aqueduct (EVA) scheme for Severn Trent being delivered by our BNM Alliance (Barhale / North Midland Construction)
